LOL. I just wrote about this from a completely different perspective.
You can see my blog post for exactly what I said, but basically, I think he was right. If you're poor and especially rural, and you didn't make good enough grades to get a scholarship to college, what exactly are your good options with a high school degree?
Are the majority of soldiers in Iraq people with college degrees who have a lot of career options?
I don't think this reflects poorly on the troops. It reflect poorly on our government for 1. taking advantage of those lack of options and 2. not creating more options.
